Quick work by firefighters limit damage to house

APRIL 23 - Irvington Firefighters were summoned to a home Monday afternoon for a report of a fire in the attic. Upon arrival, the chiefs were able to contain the fire to a small area of the attic with extinguishers followed by complete extinguishment by crews from Engine 178. The cause of the fire is under investigation but does not look suspicious at this time.... (Full Story)

Irvington Firefighters Assist in missing person search

APRIL 04 - Twenty Irvington Firefighters assisted Irvington Police and the community search for a missing child on Wednesday. MARCH 08 - On Saturday, March 4th, the Village of Irvington held its first annual Penguin Plunge. Village residents braved the frigid waters of the Hudson River all in an effort to raise money for some great programs that the Irvington Recreation department had to cut due to budget constraints.
